Executive Function Touch Tasks
The "EFTT Resp" app is used for data collection, task customization, and data management. All data is saved locally and backed up in iCloud. No data is shared or distributed to external databases or services.
Assign a device name that uniquely identifies the device as a responder.
Navigate to the "Projects" menu. All responses will be associated with one project, one test set, and one participant, so you must create at least one of each before you can start testing.
Each entity should be associated with a unique name/id. Participant IDs should be anonymous if possible. For practical purposes, participants may also be associated with gender and birth date, but this is not mandatory. Please ensure that any personally identifiable information is handled properly.
To collect data, tap the "Make Available" button. The responder should now be available for controller apps. If not, please follow the Connectivity guidelines.
Before you tap this button, please note the following:
To avoid disturbances related to multitasking features, system gestures, notifications, etc., we recommend that Guided Access is turned on during testing.
We also recommend that the device is locked in landscape mode during testing. To achieve this, turn on the "Screen-lock" switch and move the device into landscape mode before tapping "Make Available".
The ECITT Adult task includes an "Instruction" stimulus. This instruction consists of three text lines that can be customised, e.g. translated to a different language by navigating to the "Settings" menu and then "ECITT Settings" menu.
Collected data can be exported as CSV files to the local device by navigating to the "Export" menu. From here, it is possible to download responses related to various combinations of projects, test sets, participants, and task types. These files can be read by most spreadsheet applications, statistical tools, etc.
Please note: During the initial iCloud setup process, all functionality will be disabled. This will normally take a few seconds, but when a responder app is installed on a new device connected to an existing iCloud account with previously collected data, it may take a while to import existing data into the local storage.
